Hope Cove is a picturesque, sheltered cove on the south Devon coast, tucked behind Bolt Tail headland in the South Hams between Salcombe and Plymouth. The inner cove, known as Outer Hope, has a small harbour and a sandy beach, and the village is one of the most unspoilt on the South Devon coast. The anchorage in the cove is tenable in settled conditions and offshore winds, making it a popular lunch stop or overnight anchorage for boats cruising between Salcombe and Plymouth — a classic stretch of some of England's finest coastal scenery.
